NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING PURSUANT TO THE PLANNING ACT TO CONSIDER AN AMENDMENT TO OUR COMPREHENSIVE ZONING #60 to apply to all lands within the municipality.
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of Lake of the Woods will hold a public meeting and an open house to consider a by-law to amend the zoning on certain lands within the municipality. The purpose is to inform the public of a proposed zoning by-law on the following lands: to amend the zoning from General Commercial Zone to Residential 1 Zone on 5450 Hwy 621 McCrosson Township being Con 3 part of Broken Lot 2 Pcl 24834 Pcl 6268 RP 48R1718 Part 1 and RP 48R2210 Part 1. The rezoning is proposed by the owners of the said lands and is for the purpose of changing the former General Commercial lands to Residential 1 Zone to facilitate a residential use.
The meeting will be held in the Morson Council Chambers @ 21 Dalseg Dr Morson June 2nd 2026 at 7pm.
- If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Lake of the Woods before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of Lake of the Woods to the Ontario Land Tribunal.
- If a person or public body that does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Township of Lake of the Woods before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added to as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Board, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
