Hello Boaters,
Retrofits are complete and the Turtle Portage marine railway system on Lake of the Woods is now open to the public.
The site is safe and the boat transfer system is functional.
Please be advised of the following:
- Some users may find the hand wheel challenging to operate. The contractor is exploring options to make it easier, and will return to make adjustments.
- Be mindful of your transducer when loading your boat onto the cart as it may come into contact with the cart bunks.
- BOATS MUST BE TIED DOWN TO ALL FOUR CLEATS ON THE CART. Failure to do so may allow boats to slide off the cart during transport.
